Resource Management and Policy Planning
Planning at Davis Ogilvie involves liaison with the client from inception and feasibility of a project, through to consultation and negotiation with affected parties and local authorities, and presentation of evidence at both Council and Environment Court hearings where necessary.

We work closely with the other disciplines on the specifics of a project to ensure that planning principles are met in terms of District and Regional Plans and the Resource Management Act. Depending on the size of the project the planning process can also involve liaison with local politicians and other technical experts in fields such as geotechnical engineering; landscape design; and biological, ecological and geological sciences.
