Fire Engineering

Fire engineering designs are usually required for new buildings and existing buildings undergoing a change of use or major internal alterations. Davis Ogilvie has a dedicated structural engineering team, having the ability to integrate fire and structural design as well as carrying out independent, site specific, fire designs and reports.

Davis Ogilvie is able to offer the following fire engineering services:

Advise on the likely requirement of the New Zealand Building Code Acceptable Solutions.
Advise and specify products, systems, or construction to achieve the required Fire Resistance Rating (FRR).

Complete fire designs and fire reports to the New Zealand Building Code Acceptable Solutions for all commercial, industrial and domestic buildings.
Design for after-fire stability requirements.
