In 1932, Davis Ogilvie & Partners began with a vision, and a single-minded dedication to becoming leaders in land development. In over 75 years that powerful vision has become a reality. Our company has become a multi-million dollar enterprise with over 55 employees. We serve clients around the South Island, providing a range of planning, engineering, design and surveying services.

Throughout its history, Davis Ogilvie has achieved its leadership position by performing at a consistently high level. We’ve anticipated changes in the industry, providing exceptional service and technologically advanced systems. We’ve continually moved forward, contributing to the effective and efficient growth of the environments we inhabit. While technology has been crucial, our people have played the most important role in Davis Ogilvie’s success. All organisations aim to offer a customer experience which excels at all points of interaction. Cost effective provision of quality services with a focus on risk management is a key requirement of all development projects, however it is usually difficult for a technical consultant to influence the key drivers of a project. The long term success of our clients will be influenced by our ability to continually improve the quality of our service, whilst still delivering cost effective results and most importantly our ability to add value during the identification and acquisition phase of a project. This link between provision of services and client success is fundamental to the Davis Ogilvie strategy. To facilitate these outcomes, we have structured the business to operate as five separate but closely linked business units. Each business unit has a mandate to develop specialist skills in its own area and to bring this knowledge together as a team in ensuring that shared information is provided to each project in a proactive manner.
